Dr. Goldstein is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction and replacement surgery and is a partner with Illinois Bone & Joint Institute. A native of Chicago, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania before returning home to complete medical school at Rush University and his orthopaedic residency at University of Illinois Chicago. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training at the OrthoCarolina Hip & Knee Center, one of the nation’s premier programs for hip and knee reconstruction.

Clinically, Dr. Goldstein specializes in both primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. He operates in both a hospital setting as well as an ambulatory surgery center setting. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to evidence-based medicine, meticulous surgical technique, and clear, compassionate communication with patients and families.

In addition to a high-volume elective clinical practice, Dr. Goldstein serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He assumed this role after six years of service on the hospital’s Physician–Hospital Organization (PHO) Board and remains actively involved in hospital leadership, quality initiatives, and physician governance. At Lutheran General, he is deeply committed to education and mentorship, teaching orthopaedic residents from UIC and helping train the next generation of surgeons.

Dr. Goldstein has held multiple leadership roles at IBJI over the past decade and currently serves as an elected member of the organization’s Board of Managers. Nationally, he is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He serves as an abstract reviewer for the AAHKS Annual Meeting and is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Arthroplasty. He participates in ongoing clinical research and regularly presents at local, regional, and national meetings.

Dr. Goldstein has served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 2021 and has attended multiple National Orthopaedic Leadership Conferences in Washington, DC, where he has participated in state and federal advocacy efforts alongside orthopaedic colleagues and residents from the Illinois delegation. In January 2026, he will assume the role of President of IAOS.

Dr. Goldstein resides in the Chicago area with his wife and their three children.
